This Summer, Design Something Brilliant
Creative architecture workshops for curious minds aged 7–18 at the Royal Institution
We’re thrilled to be running four creative holiday workshops at the Royal Institution in London this summer! These hands-on sessions are perfect for curious young minds aged 7 to 18. Each one explores architecture, design, nature, and structure in playful and powerful ways.
Workshop 1: ‘Designing for Plants’ 🌱
This is a joyful, hands-on workshop where young architects take charge - and the client has roots! Blending science, citizenship, and empathetic creativity, this session invites students to design imaginative, functional habitats for plants while thinking like problem-solvers and caretakers of the natural world.

🌿 Ages 9–11: 2:15pm–4:30pm
Workshop 2: ‘Build Like Bucky’ 🔺
Inspired by Buckminster Fuller, this dynamic workshop stretches spatial thinking, geometry skills, and builds design confidence. From tetrahedrons to tensegrities, students will explore how strong structures can be light, flexible - and surprisingly fun to build!
🔷 Ages 12–14: 11:00am–1:15pm
🔷 Ages 15–18: 2:15pm–4:30pm
If you know any budding young designers, please feel free to share.
We’d love to see you there!
